QA/CGI Managed Learning Service
CGI had a structured approach to learning and development (L&D) with each employee belonging to a training framework; a learning pathway of courses relevant to their roles and career progression. However, the associated administration was proving a significant drain on resources. With numerous training spreadsheets updated manually, reporting on costs and schedules was a time consuming activity. This, coupled with the multiple terms and conditions, purchase orders and cancellation policies required by numerous training suppliers, meant the team was expending valuable time on administration.
To overcome this, CGI turned to QA, to discuss its MLS options. QA, in turn approached Enterprise Study to provide the software to support both the provision of training from multiple suppliers and the administration function.
Enterprise Study worked closely with QA to onboard all CGI training suppliers to the Learning Network. Learning Network enabled QA to agree discounts and terms and conditions with each supplier and feed the full provision of training with the discounts and T&C’s into the CGI MyLearning Platform, also supplied by Enterprise Study.
With the MyLearning platform set up and loaded with all of the agreed training, CGI’s employees could log in and view the courses available as part of their training frameworks and book themselves onto events. This automated process allowed users to see ‘real-time’ data regarding the status of an event, the number of places available and its location. Through the Enterprise Study software, detailed reports could be generated, including information such as courses held, fill-rates and costs and delegate feedback. This level of reporting allowed trends to be identified to generate further cost efficiencies.
The Enterprise Study Learning Network has enabled QA to ensure that the suppliers and prices negotiated by them are fed into the CGI MyLearning platform and directly on to the CGI staff. The Enterprise Study Learning Management System has enabled the CGI staff to view and book onto courses in ‘real time’ and relieved the administration burden of course booking and communications for both CGI L&D and QA.
