I met up with my sister recently and she reminded me of our granny having one of those big old tin baths which was used in her sitting room. She would always drape a cloth over the television when she was having a bath so that no one could see her. It’s an interesting story because it says something about technology, privacy and our understanding of both. I don’t know if the cloth went over the screen even if the set was off. Either way it was the reaction of someone who had virtually no understanding of the technology. It was always a story that amused the rest of the family because we knew that there was absolutely no risk of being seen through the TV.
